Job description


The Business Finance Executive will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial operations of the Transportation Business vertical run smoothly. This role involves collecting and submitting billing inputs, supporting timely payment collections, monitoring transportation vendor payments, and ensuring the submission of accurate and timely MIS reports. The individual will work closely with the revenue function, finance team, operations team and other internal stakeholders to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing and Revenue Support:

  • Collect and compile all necessary billing inputs related to transportation services.
  • Submit billing information to the revenue function promptly to facilitate timely invoicing.
  • Liaise with the operations and sales teams to ensure all billable activities are accurately captured.

 Vendor Payment Management:

  • Monitor transportation vendor payments, ensuring they are processed as per the agreed rates and terms.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and finance teams to verify vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain a schedule of vendor payments and ensure timely disbursement to maintain good vendor relationships.

MIS Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely MIS reports related to the transportation business.
  • Ensure that all financial data is captured and reported in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to enhance the quality and relevance of MIS reports.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all financial transactions related to billing, collections, and vendor payments comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

 Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.

Experience: 2-4 years of experience in finance or accounting, or billing, payment collection

Skills: Effective communication skills for cross-functional coordination, Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
